Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH, PVA or PVAl) is a water-soluble synthetic polymer. It has the ideal formula [CH2CH(OH)] n. It is used in papermaking, textiles and various coatings. It is white (colorless) and tasteless. Sometimes it is provided in the form of beads or an aqueous solution.
PVA wire, like water-soluble wire, is a support material and is well matched with PLA.
